Documentary Featurette for NFT Gaming Studio
Background
Perfect Storm is a gaming studio producing the next generation of competitive team-based esports games for the metaverse.
Combining MOBA action with an NFT-based creator economy takes a lot of talent, so Perfect Storm contacted me to produce a series of videos to kick-start their recruitment efforts.
How I helped
I edited two short-form documentary featurettes highlighting the company's COO and Artistic Director.
Using interview footage and extensive b-roll, the videos showcased the studio's working culture and gave a look behind the scenes at what was coming.
The results
Some people are sceptical of anything labelled "Web3", so Perfect Storm set out to build trust from the start. The videos aimed to show their authentic side and build confidence with their community of employees, investors, and players.
It worked. Since posting the documentaries to their website, Perfect Storm's headcount has nearly doubled.
